At this time, we have two flavors of lists dealing with Initiatives on Alternate Reality Gaming: full discussion and announcements only.
Full on Discussion
IonARG
This list is meant to discuss one of the only net-native art forms around - Alternate Reality Games. We don’t care if you’re a developer, a player, an academic, theorist, press, or something completely different. The only thing that you need to be is interested in ARGs and willing to learn from and support one another as we work together to support the genre as a whole. Participation on this list is highly encouraged and, hopefully, we’ll see everything from casual discussion about newsworthy events to more serious conversation about the challenges facing ARGs and, along the way, there should be some good talk about how we can help each other out. To sign up for the list, visit the IonARG list page
IonARG-comm
If you’re leading an initiative or have some sick desire to deal with the more administrative bits of IonARG, then this is the list for you. There’s no gossip, no fun. Instead, it’s just making sure that IonARG and the Initiatives are getting what they need from each other. All the good stuff is on the general list, but with nothing to hide, you’re free to join this one as well. To do so, just head over to the IonARG-comm list page
Announcements only
IonARG-announce
We’re sad you don’t want to get involved in the discussion, but understand that some just want to know when big and exciting things happen. So, if you’d like to be kept abreast of the major milestones with various initiatives (publication of the Eye on ARG, for example) and nothing more, than this is the list you want. All messages sent to this list will also be sent to the IonARG list so there is no reason to subscribe to both - unless you just really want that extra email.
